Basketball Recap: Marshall Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Marshall Christian Academy was the 54-42 winner over CHAAMP HomeSchool when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Marshall Christian Academy Guardians lost to the CHAAMP HomeSchool Hawks on the road by a 52-33 margin on Monday.

Caelan DeLisi had an outrageously good game for CHAAMP HomeSchool as he almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine steals. The dominant performance gave DeLisi a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Joe Hefner, who posted 16 points and four steals.

Marshall Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for CHAAMP HomeSchool, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marshall Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Arkansas at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th. As for CHAAMP HomeSchool, they will head out on the road to face off against East Texas Homeschool Sports at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
