Softball Recap: Mineral Point Sets Scoring Season-High Against Southwestern

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mineral Point). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Southwestern Wildcats a 23-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Pointers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

The victory got Mineral Point back to even at 3-3. As for Southwestern, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mineral Point is set to challenge their familiar foe Riverdale at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Southwestern will face off against rival Darlington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
