Basketball Recap: Reimer Road Baptist Christian Takes a Loss

It was a Battle of the Birds when Reimer Road Baptist Christian faced off against Westside Christian Academy on Thursday. The Reimer Road Baptist Christian Golden Eagles came up short against the Westside Christian Academy Eagles, falling 48-22. The contest marked the Golden Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Westside Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Calvin Cottenden, who went 11 of 21 en route to 28 points and seven boards. Cottenden has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Trent Douglass, who posted nine points and three steals.

Reimer Road Baptist Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
