Volleyball Recap: Westhill Takes a Loss

Westhill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hilltoppers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Westhill took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-19, 25-20.

Westhill's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Bridgeport Central, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Westhill is set to challenge their familiar foe Trumbull at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Bridgeport Central will face off against rival Ridgefield at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
