Basketball Game Preview: Severn Run vs. Glen Burnie Gophers

Severn Run and the Glen Burnie Gophers will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Severn Run turned things around against Arundel on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 54-34 margin over the Wildcats. Severn Run's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Glen Burnie played in conference for the first time on Friday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They enjoyed a cozy 40-26 victory over North County. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Gophers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Glen Burnie's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7. As for Severn Run, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
