While Southern's win against Eastern wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tornadoes skirted past the Eagles 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tornadoes have posted against the Eagles since April 22, 2022.

The win made it two in a row for Southern and bumps their season record up to 15-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Eastern, with the defeat, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-8.

Coming up, Southern will square off against Fisher Catholic at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Irish will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Tornadoes surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eastern, they will take on Vinton County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
