Kellogg had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Timberlake Tigers 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since September 10, 2024.

Kellogg took Timberlake into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 21-25, 19-25, 25-18, 15-9.

Gretah Angle paced Kellogg's offense, picking up 11 kills. Angle got some help from Ella Yrjana and her 24 assists. Dani Henrikson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Timberlake's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Kellogg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Wallace on the 28th. As for Timberlake, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Clark Fork on the 28th.
