Softball Recap: St. Dominic Snags Seventh Win in Last Nine Games

St. Dominic never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past the Parkway North Vikings 15-0. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Annie Alsop looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brylie Mills, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in October of 2024. Jacie Phillips also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

St. Dominic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.

St. Dominic has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Parkway North, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Dominic will host Ritenour at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Parkway North, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Lutheran South at 4:30 p.m.
