Basketball Recap: Jordan Lambert Key Part of Team Effort in Bulldogs Win

Beach posted their closest victory since February 4th on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the South Effingham Mustangs, sneaking past 52-49. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.

Beach's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Lambert led the charge by going 6-for-10 to rack up 17 points. The dominant performance also gave Lambert a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (71%). Another player making a difference was Kejuan Ferguson, who posted nine points and six steals.

When it comes to explaining why South Effingham lost, don't look at Michael Hall. Despite the final result, he put up 18 points and four steals. Hall has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Benja Crofts, who earned six points in addition to ten rebounds and five blocks.

The win got Beach back to even at 2-2. As for South Effingham, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Beach has already played their next matchup, a 73-46 loss against Baldwin on the 29th. As for South Effingham, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 81-46 defeat against Calvary Day on the 2nd.
