            Basketball Recap: Bishop Machebeuf Buffaloes vs. Conifer Lobos        
        
		
        
        
            Bishop Machebeuf was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They took  a  46-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Conifer Lobos.
Several Buffaloes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Justina Cichos, who  dropped  a double-double with 12  points and 21  rebounds. Cichos is  on a roll when it comes to  boards, as she's  now  pulled down nine or more in each of the last five games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Penelope Mikita, who  went 6-for-14  en route to 13 points along with five  rebounds and three  steals.

 Even though they lost, Bishop Machebeuf  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 21  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least 11  offensive rebounds in eight consecutive  matches.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Conifer to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Eleanor Sikora, who  posted 18  points. Those 18 points gave  Sikora a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Izzy Ogdon, who  put up 14  points and seven  boards.
Bishop Machebeuf's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Conifer, their win  ended  a  six-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 13-8.
 Bishop Machebeuf has already played their next game,  a  41-31  victory against Platte Canyon on the 18th. As for Conifer, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  contest,  a  52-21  win against St. John Paul the Great on the 18th.
