Ballard entered their tilt with Williamsburg on Monday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 60-55 W against the Williamsburg Raiders. Given the Bombers' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Raiders are ranked 202nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ballard pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Williamsburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.

Coming up, Ballard won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hoover at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Ballard knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Hoover likes a good challenge. As for Williamsburg, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Independence at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
