After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Turner, Washington was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Wyandotte Bulldogs with a sharp 17-7 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their two-run performance the game before.

Leland Estes was a standout: he scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Ryan Hooks was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.

Washington was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Washington has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Wyandotte, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10.

Coming up, Washington will face off against Atchison at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Phoenix will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wyandotte, they will take on East at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
