Volleyball Recap: Chaparral's Run of Six Straight Wins Now Over

It was a good run, but Chaparral unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak dating back to last season on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to the Eaglecrest Raptors. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wolverines have suffered since March 28, 2024.

Chaparral was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 28-26.

Luke Vigil paced Chaparral's offense, picking up 11 kills. Vigil got some help from Jett Fobert and his 26 assists. Cameron Beasley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Chaparral's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chaparral will welcome Cherokee Trail at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eaglecrest, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Bear Creek at 6:30 p.m.
