Chippewa has gone 9-1 against Rittman recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Chipps will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Monday, Chippewa beat Central Christian 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chipps.
The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 11-25, 25-15, 25-14.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Monday Rittman sidestepped Andrews Osborne Academy for a 3-2 win.
Rittman wouldn't go down easily and took Andrews Osborne Academy into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 21-25, 18-25, 15-10.
Chippewa better keep an eye on Mackenzie Beltz. She was instrumental in Rittman's win, getting eight digs and three aces. That's the most aces Beltz has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Beltz, who had 16 digs and two assists.
Rittman picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-6. As for Chippewa, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Chippewa has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 10.3 aces per game. However, it's not like Rittman struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Chippewa took their win against Rittman in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Chipps have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
