Basketball Recap: Harnett Central Takes a Loss

Harnett Central lost against Pine Forest back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Harnett Central Trojans were outmatched by the Pine Forest Trojans and fell 47-20. While losing is never fun, Harnett Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 536th, while Pine Forest is ranked 201st).

Pine Forest's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tahlia Glover, who posted 11 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Armoni Campbell, who put up six points along with eight boards and six steals.

Harnett Central's defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Pine Forest, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Harnett Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 32-22 loss against Triton on the 11th. As for Pine Forest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-50 defeat against Overhills on the 11th.
