Volleyball Recap: Catholic - N.I. Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with St. Michael

Catholic - N.I. faced St. Michael in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Warriors. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Amelie Trappey paced Catholic - N.I.'s offense, picking up five kills. Trappey got some help from MacKenzie Batiste and her eight assists. Gracie Neck controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Catholic - N.I. now has a losing record of 7-8. As for St. Michael, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Catholic - N.I. will challenge Westminster Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Michael, they will venture away from home to face off against Episcopal at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
