Dexter barely beat Penquis Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 14-0 win on Monday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by 14 runs or more this season.

Desiree Adams was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Kayleigh Dunton was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.

Dexter's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-2. As for Penquis Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dexter will take on Orono at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Penquis Valley, they will challenge Greenville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
