Basketball Recap: Houston Gets the Win

Houston won the last time they faced Shannon and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Hilltoppers came out on top against the Red Raiders by a score of 48-41.

Kase Brooks had another great game (as he tends to do), almost dropping a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brody Echoles, who posted 11 points and five boards.

Houston smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2025.

Houston's record now sits at 15-13. As for Shannon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-16 record this season.

Houston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 68-61 win against Itawamba Agricultural on the 13th. As for Shannon, they have also already played their next game, a 51-48 victory against Mooreville on the 13th.
