Basketball Recap: Peter Howard Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Roncalli Catholic

Elkhorn lost to Roncalli Catholic back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Elkhorn Antlers walked away with a 64-56 win over the Roncalli Catholic Crimson Pride. That's two games straight that the Antlers have won by exactly eight points.

Elkhorn's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Peter Howard, who posted 21 points. Howard has become a key player for Elkhorn: the team is 5-2 when he posts at least 15 points, but 5-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Nixon Farmer, who went 6-for-15 en route to 18 points.

The victory got Elkhorn back to even at 10-10. As for Roncalli Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
