While Lugoff-Elgin's victory against Westwood wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Demons had just enough and edged out the Redhawks 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Demons have posted since March 18th.

The victory made it two in a row for Lugoff-Elgin and bumps their season record up to 10-8. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Westwood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lugoff-Elgin will be taking part in a tournament against Lexington at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Demons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Westwood, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sumter at 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
