Morris Catholic waltzed into their game  on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Madison Dodgers as they made off with  a  14-2 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  14-3  on April 1st.
  Sofia Reisinger was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in May of 2024.  Savannah Mead was another key player,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  stolen base.
Morris Catholic's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Madison,  they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
 Morris Catholic and Madison could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage  in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings. The Crusaders will  challenge  Red Bank Catholic  at 11:00  a.m.  on Wednesday with a big rank  disadvantage  (61 vs. 9). Meanwhile,  Madison (ranked 323rd) will meet Montville (ranked 42nd)  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
