Football Recap: Alex Richmond and Tuff Street Secure Win for Lasalle

LaSalle had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 22-8 win over the Block Bears. That looming 22-8 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Tigers yet this season.

A big part of LaSalle's victory came down to the chemistry between Tuff Street and his top target Alex Richmond. Street rushed for 190 yards and one score while picking up 11.9 yards per carry while Richmond rushed for 41 yards and one touchdown. Street showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 60 yards.

LaSalle was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 282 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 277 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

LaSalle didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Caiden Finley and Street. Street's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 165 rushing yards. Another thorn in Block's side was Wyatt King, who picked up a sack and made 12 total tackles.

LaSalle's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Block, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

LaSalle has already played their next game, a 36-0 victory against Pickering on the 3rd. As for Block, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 40-16 defeat against Ringgold on the 3rd.
