After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Stockdale, Nixon-Smiley was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Luling Eagles. The high-scoring effort was just what the Mustangs needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Nixon-Smiley's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Luling, they dropped their record down to 4-15 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Nixon-Smiley will challenge rival Karnes City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Luling is set to face off against their familiar foe Poth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
