Softball Recap: Christchurch School Takes a Loss

Christchurch School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 19-3 to the Fredericksburg Christian Eagles.

Teresa Espiritu made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.

Christchurch School's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Fredericksburg Christian, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christchurch School will take on Cape Henry Collegiate at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Seahorses' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dolphins have averaged an impressive 11.5 runs per game this season. As for Fredericksburg Christian, they will challenge Oakcrest at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
