If Centennial wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Coon Rapids, they should've done a better job of containing Nemo Chang. The Cardinals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Cougars on Wednesday thanks in part to Chang, who had 13 digs and seven assists. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Coon Rapids wouldn't go down easily and took Centennial into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-21, 23-25, 20-25, 15-11.

The victory got Coon Rapids back to even at 7-7-1. As for Centennial, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Coon Rapids will challenge rival Spring Lake Park at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Centennial is set to take on their familiar foe Andover at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
