Baseball Game Preview: River Valley Blackhawks vs. Prairie du Chien Blackhawks

River Valley will face off against Prairie du Chien at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. River Valley is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

On Saturday, River Valley beat Ithaca 6-2. That's two games straight that the Blackhawks have won by exactly four runs.

River Valley secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Quincy Blakley, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Prairie du Chien and Richland Center, and Prairie du Chien kept the tradition alive. The Blackhawks never let the Hornets get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Thursday.

The result came thanks to Bryce Lenzendorf's shutout, as he gave up just three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

Prairie du Chien pushed their record up to 8-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for River Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.
