Recap: Camden Blue Devils vs. Rome Free Academy Black Knights
The Camden Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 58-24 loss at the hands of Rome Free Academy. Camden has struggled against Rome Free Academy recently, as their contest on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Rome Free Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Haylee Bostwick, who scored 14 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nijae Matthews, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Camden's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Rome Free Academy, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.
Camden will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Stockbridge Valley at 6:30 p.m. on January 29th. As for Rome Free Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Notre Dame/Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
