Preview: Pine Forest Trojans vs. Harnett Central Trojans
Pine Forest is 4-0 against Harnett Central since January of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Pine Forest Trojans will head out on the road to challenge the Harnett Central Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Pine Forest focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Thursday.
Pine Forest can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game. They walked away with a 50-43 victory over Triton.
Chloe Wilson was the offensive standout of the contest as she dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Janaea Conley, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Harnett Central suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They were beaten by Terry Sanford 60-23. While losing is never fun, Harnett Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 422nd, while Terry Sanford is ranked 31st).
The victory got Pine Forest back to even at 6-6. As for Harnett Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.
Everything came up roses for Pine Forest against Harnett Central when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 53-20 victory. Does Pine Forest have another victory up their sleeve, or will Harnett Central turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
