Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Rootstown

Rootstown barely beat Newton Falls the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rovers put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 15-5 victory on Thursday. 15 seems to be a good number for the Rovers as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The victory (which was Rootstown's fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Newton Falls, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13-1.
