Basketball Recap: Cherokee Christian Comes Up Short

Cherokee Christian was the 82-74 winner over The King's Academy when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cherokee Christian Warriors had to suffer through a 90-62 loss at the hands of The King's Academy Knights. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 458th, while the Knights are ranked 158th).

Cherokee Christian's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-13. As for The King's Academy, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cherokee Christian will take on Fideles Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The King's Academy has already played their next matchup (against Cherokee Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
