Basketball Recap: Riverton Find Success

Woods Cross came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against Riverton, but Maggie Hamblin wouldn't allow it. The Silverwolves walked away with a 49-38 win over the Wildcats on Tuesday with plenty of help from Hamblin, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season.

When it comes to explaining why Woods Cross lost, don't look at Ili Crockett. Despite the final result, she posted 14 points in addition to eight boards and eight steals. Another player making a difference was Zoe Michaelis, who put up seven points.

The victory got Riverton back to even at 1-1. As for Woods Cross, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Riverton will be playing in front of their home fans against Taylorsville at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Silverwolves will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Woods Cross, they will host Murray at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
