Basketball Game Preview: Richton Rebels vs. Stringer Red Devils

The Richton Rebels will face off against the Stringer Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Richton's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Stringer has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

Richton was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Lumberton on Thursday. The Rebels took their contest with ease, bagging a 61-28 victory over the Panthers. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Stringer came up short against Resurrection Catholic on Tuesday and fell 58-46. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 285th, while the Eagles are ranked 82nd).

Stringer's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Richton, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.

Everything came up roses for Richton against Stringer in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 62-31 victory. In that game, the Rebels amassed a halftime lead of 37-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
