Basketball Recap: Wilmington Charter Comes Up Short

Wilmington Charter lost against Delmarva Christian back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Sunday. The matchup between the Wilmington Charter Force and the Delmarva Christian Royals didn't end well, with the Wilmington Charter Force falling 49-34. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Force came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Delaware basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Royals are ranked 163rd).

Wilmington Charter has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Delmarva Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

While Wilmington Charter had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
