Soccer Game Preview: Legacy vs. Central

The Legacy Lions are taking a road trip to take on the Central Cobras at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Legacy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Legacy fell victim to Centennial and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Legacy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 437th, while Centennial are ranked 132nd).

Meanwhile, Central entered their tilt with Treasure Coast on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Titans. Central wouldn't have won without Ramiro Frias, who scored the game-winner.

Legacy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-2. As for Central, they now have a winning record of 7-6-1.

Legacy might still be hurting after the 4-0 loss they got from Central in their previous meeting back in November of 2025. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
