Volleyball Recap: Westfall Comes Up Short

Westfall was the 3-0 winner over Zane Trace when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell 3-1 to the Pioneers on Thursday. The Mustangs just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Westfall started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 9-25, 25-16, 25-19, 26-24.

Despite the loss, Westfall still got an impressive performance from Natalie Young, who had 12 digs and three aces. Young is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Westfall's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Zane Trace, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Westfall didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Southeastern on the 9th. As for Zane Trace, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against North Adams on the 8th.
