Given San Juan Hills' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while Tesoro is ranked 364th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
San Clemente has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for San Juan Hills, their win bumped their record up to 15-8.
San Clemente beat San Juan Hills 61-54 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Will San Clemente repeat their success, or does San Juan Hills have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
