Preview: Gloucester Catholic vs. Buena
After two weeks on the road, Gloucester Catholic is heading back home. They will square off against Buena at 11:00 AM on Saturday. Gloucester Catholic are the clear underdogs, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one.
Gloucester Catholic had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 24-13 victory over Lower Cape May. Junior Dashaun Harris, who rushed for 156 yards and 3 touchdowns, was a major factor in Gloucester Catholic's success. In fact, with nine tackles Harris was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, Buena brought a six-game winning streak into their game against Pleasantville last Friday; they left with a seven-game streak. Buena snuck past Pleasantville with a 19-13 win.
Their wins bumped Buena to 7-0 and Gloucester Catholic to 2-5. The Gloucester Catholic defense got after the quarterback against Lower Cape May to the tune of eight sacks, so Buena's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the contest.
