After losing to Doherty the last time they met, The Vanguard School decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Coursers came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Coursers.

While The Vanguard School might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Doherty scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 24-26, 26-24, 25-18.

Evahn Gritsyna paced The Vanguard School's offense, picking up 19 kills. Gritsyna got some help from Joseph Wetters and his 47 assists. Finally, Gritsyna was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-10. As for Doherty, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

The Vanguard School has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Pueblo South on the 16th. As for Doherty, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Rampart at 6:00 p.m.
