Softball Recap: Pittsfield Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hampshire Regional, Pittsfield was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Mount Greylock Regional Mounties by a score of 10-5. The Generals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mounties, too.

Mia Dejesus was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Amelia Polidoro also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Pittsfield's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Mount Greylock Regional, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Pittsfield will take on Agawam at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mount Greylock Regional, they will square off against Lenox Memorial at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
