Wilby is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They lost 15-0 to Naugatuck.

Meanwhile, Derby came up short against Torrington on Wednesday, falling 18-4. The Red Raiders have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Jose Frias was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
