Basketball Recap: Swanton Comes Up Short

Swanton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 72-31 loss at the hands of the Genoa Area Comets. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-13.

Swanton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Genoa Area, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0.

Coming up, Swanton will head out on the road to challenge Ottawa Hills at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Genoa Area, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Maumee at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
