Volleyball Recap: Shaleigh Harrell Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Vernon

Sneads won the last time they faced Vernon and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Pirates blew past the Yellowjackets 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-7, 25-12, 25-19.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sneads to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shaleigh Harrell, who had 12 digs and six aces. Those six aces gave Harrell a new career-high. LaRay Gibbs was another key player, getting 11 digs and five aces.

Sneads' record now sits at 3-1. As for Vernon, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Sneads will challenge North Florida Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vernon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bethlehem at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
