Baseball Recap: Polytech Comes Up Short

If Polytech was riding high fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Delmarva Christian on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers came up short against the Sussex Central Golden Knights on Thursday, falling 19-4. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Golden Knights: they've now lost four in a row.

Ethan Garcia made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Dulin, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Polytech now has a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Polytech is taking a road trip to take on Caesar Rodney at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sussex Central, they will take on Decatur at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
