Baseball Recap: Canutillo Eagles vs. Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks
On Saturday, the Canutillo Eagles came up short against the Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks and fell 7-4.
Aaron Cordero was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Paul Zuniga was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one double. What's more, he posted three hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
