Basketball Game Preview: Oakleaf Knights vs. Pine Ridge Panthers

The Oakleaf Knights will take on the Pine Ridge Panthers in a tournament on Monday. Oakleaf will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Friday, Oakleaf beat Middleburg 68-55.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Pine Ridge faced off against Potter's House Christian Blue on Thursday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 90-65 margin over the Lions. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Lions are ranked 476th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oakleaf better focus on containing Wilmer Delarosa and Henry Robinson Jr. as the pair were huge in Pine Ridge's win. Delarosa dropped a double-double with 30 points and 15 boards, while Robinson Jr. shot 76% from the field on his way to 33 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Pine Ridge is 6-3 when Delarosa posts ten or more boards, but 3-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Samuels, who went 5-for-10 en route to 13 points along with five assists and three steals.

Pine Ridge was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2025.

Oakleaf's record now sits at 11-8. As for Pine Ridge, their record is now 9-10.
