Softball Recap: Mayfield Takes a Loss

Mayfield fell victim to Graves County and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 17-0 to the Eagles. The Cardinals just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Mayfield's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Graves County, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-10.

Mayfield wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 18-1 loss against Ballard Memorial on the 23rd. As for Graves County, they will welcome Paducah Tilghman at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Tornado's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
