Baseball Recap: Mendenhall Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Mendenhall couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Choctaw Central Ftng Warriors by a score of 8-7 on Saturday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Ftng Warriors earlier this season, when they won 10-9.

Mendenhall's loss dropped their record down to 17-5-1. As for Choctaw Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-15 record this season.

While Mendenhall had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
