Baseball Game Preview: Peach County Trojans vs. Spalding Jaguars

The Peach County Trojans will take on the Spalding Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Peach County is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

If Peach County beats Spalding with 13 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Peach County came out on top against Cambridge by a score of 13-8 on Saturday.

Jackson Peavy looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Scout Willingham, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Those runs were his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Hardee, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Spalding had just enough and edged Woodland out 9-8 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jaguars.

Spalding's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Peach County, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Peach County took their win against Spalding in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 9-2. Will Peach County repeat their success, or does Spalding have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
