Softball Game Preview: Edisto Cougars vs. Bridges Prep Buccaneers

The Edisto Cougars will square off against the Bridges Prep Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Edisto has given up an average of 11.1 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Monday, neither Edisto nor Williston-Elko could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 17-17 tie.

Meanwhile, Bridges Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on April 8th as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 26-6 to Hampton County, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Edisto's tie makes their record 6-8-1 this season. As for Bridges Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Edisto took their win against Bridges Prep when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 24-8 score. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Buccaneers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
