Basketball Recap: Sauk Rapids-Rice Takes a Loss

Sauk Rapids-Rice was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 55-18 loss at the hands of the St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Storm this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-51 back in December of 2024.

Sauk Rapids-Rice's defeat dropped their record down to 0-20. As for St. Cloud Cathedral, they moved to 10-22 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Sauk Rapids-Rice wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 75-16 loss against Bemidji on the 1st. As for St. Cloud Cathedral, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 68-42 defeat against Moorhead on the 31st.
